That Simmonds car story should be more well known. Incredible.

Not once have I heard Regis talk about that... it's something that deserves a Players Tribune article.

This Russian kid sounds like a good depth signing. Love me some Hextall.

Not sure how anyone can not like Simmonds. He plays the game the right way on the ice, and conducts himself the right way off it. Favorite player on the team and quickly solidified as one of my all time favorites.

Interesting to read multiple teams were after the Russian guy. Maybe he turns out to be a decent role player for the Flyers.

Who was Provorovs volleyball partner and how was he so bad that he prevented Provy from winning?

Simmonds sounds like a throwback to Zezel with his charity and giving to those in need.

Simmonds, for me, follows in the footsteps of athletes like Gagne, Rollins and Utley. Stand up guys who get the job done without all the unnecessary hype and bling associated with many in theater that is sometimes professional sports.

Roman, German and Ivan...the incoming Russian connection. At the very least, if they are all on the Flyers together, there will be a comfort level and a built in translator for the group.

Morin said the sand was a little slow and slushy, making for bad passes and a lot of turnovers, and that's why his team lost.

Also Fazleev (if he develops as hoped at the AHL level over the next couple years), who speaks excellent English.

love having wayne on our team, even more so knowing what kind of person he is, saaaaaay......as opposed to someone who's currently out of an NHL job...just sayin'.

i hope the goalies spiked people in the face in that volleyball match.

You would have thought hagg and Moran could have ran away with the volleyball event, considering hagg is about 56600 ft tall..

Just a quick question. How many of your CAN'T MISS prospects do you guys think will make the team this year?

literally was thinking this verbatim, especially utley, he was the epitome of a class act, hard-nosed player who put his team first without any of the drama or diva-ness that unfortunately many athletes succumb to. never once did he speak of himself, and any question directed to him about something he did, he just praised his teammates. u can see a little of that in ghost, excited for what he's gonna be for us in the future.

mazel, mazel, good things.

I'm surprised that Ranger fans know what a can't miss prospect is

They're certainly strangers to the notion of what the 1st round of the NHL entry draft is for.

They are currently having a contest with the pens to see who can have the fewest draft picks in the next 5 years.

ill level with you and assume u meant top prospects who will make the team.

i think provorov is a lock, altho other people will say its a wait and see. of course its a wait and see obviously, but i think it would be disappointing if he wasnt on the big club come october.

id say thats it who i think is a lock, others who have a good chance are guys like:
Travis Konecny
Robert Hagg
Travis Sanheim

Sanheim hasnt had a full AHL season yet, he did come up for 4 games last year and put up 3 points, and he has added over 25 pounds of muscle since being drafted, and coaches have said hes doing everything theyve asked. Hagg i believe needs another year in the AHL unless he just wows everyone come the preseason. Konecny is a guy i think would make half of the nhl rosters this year no doubt, but with Hexy, my bet is he is sent to juniors regardless of what he does. unless he is hands and feet the best player he has ever seen, think there isnt a chance he makes the roster, although he is best qualified to play. confusing i know.

id list some dark horses, but with Hexy, there really arent many guys who would even sniff the nhl roster until theyre completely ready. guys like
Sam Morin
Taylor Leier
Nicolas Aube-Kubel
Radel Fazleev
Oskar Lindblom unfortunately will be overseas
Anthony Stolarz

The pipeline is loaded tho so only good things in the future.

Provorov is the only sure fire bet to be on the nhl team. Anyone else I'd say is less than 20% to make it. This is not your fathers flyers. Hexy brought the slow cooker with him from LA

Does anyone know when Las Vegas can legally begin trading with other teams(draft picks). Is it before or after the expansion draft?

Simmonds is such a gem and thee perfect fit for the Philadelphia Flyers. I cringe every time I see his name pop up in trade rumors.

So you see 0% chance that Provorov doesn't make the team? That's not what Hextall has said at all. If he has a poor camp, he won't make the team.
